WHAT MOTIVATES ME: (MY GOALS)
slowing down to observe
finding greater pleasure
noticing the overlooked
appreciating more deeply
reminding myself who I am and where I come from
I studied architecture, figure drawing and photography at Syracuse University both in NY and abroad in Florence, Italy.
I grew up in New Suffolk on the North Fork at the east end of Long Island, NY.
I paint in studio and en plein air in Sag Harbor, New York and in Boothbay, Maine.
WHAT MAKES ME CURIOUS: (MY EXPLORATIONS)
expressing the complexity within a single hue
capturing the essence of favorite places
creating beauty in response to beauty
making the familiar unexpected

WHAT CATCHES MY EYE: (MY SUBJECTS)
colors, shapes & shadows that play well together
thresholds and landmarks that tell me where I am
unconventional views of the everyday
I paint in studio and en plein air in Sag Harbor, New York and in Boothbay, Maine.
